The Stephen King Collection from Out of Print
Clothing review by Brian M. Sammons

In my time as a reviewer of all things horror, I’ve covered a variety of neat, and weird, things. Of course there are the movies, books, and video games, but there have been music, art, toys/collectibles, radio shows, podcasts, and clothing. Now I haven’t covered apparel in a bit, mostly because nothing I haven’t already talked about has done much to spark my interest. But when a company called Out Of Print contacted me about a new line of t-shirts they were doing based on Stephen King, well, let’s just say that my interests were kindled at long last. So I said sure, and they sent me some samples of their shirts to try out and review. But first, who is Out Of Print?
OOP is an online maker of mugs, pins, baseball caps, face masks (how timely), and clothing ranging from the ever popular t-shirt to socks, sweatshirts, boxer shorts, and more. All of their many, varied items have a literary theme behind them; thus their name: Out Of Print. So if you’re a fan of Harry Potter, A Clockwork Orange, Huckleberry Finn, Alice in Wonderland, Animal Farm, Beowulf, and, well, a whole lot of other books and authors, and you want to wear that love of literature on your sleeve, then they have you covered. Well, now they have added Stephen King to the mix with four T-shirts, each with the cover art to one of Mr. King’s most classic novels. There is The Shining, The Stand, Pet Sematary, and It. Each short comes in both men and women’s style, with The Shining being on a white T-shirt and the rest on black.
So how is the quality? Well the image is large, bright, and vibrant. They are very good looking reproductions of the book art. The shirts themselves are made out of 100% cotton, they fit very well, are exceptionally comfortable, and are of a thinner material (but not see-though like some tees)—perfect for the summer. I am very happy with the look and overall quality of each shirt.
I love the idea behind Out Of Print and their book-loving fashion. With films, games, TV shows, sports, etc. all having a ton of choices for clothing, it’s nice to see books getting some love. And it’s very nice to see some of that love going Stephen King’s way. Hopefully these four offerings will only be the start of a massive line of King-wear. If you are a fan of Stephen King, specifically any of the novels previously mentioned, give Out Of Print a look, pick up a shirt or two, and let your horror-loving book flag fly proudly. Based on these four sample shirts, I can highly recommend them.
