Here is a film that seem like it was made for the pure fun of making a movie and was not intended to make anyone like it but rather entertain them in some way. It’s not a bad idea for a film, it got that low budget look and feel, and the production value is not that great. But the movie is somewhat entertaining.
The movie is about five friends who venture out into the wood in search of “Fang Lady”, a witch that happens to steel souls while her crazy son cuts up their bodies and eats them as well as feed them to his pet dog or whatever he has caged in his room. So there’s your basic horror story premise.
The acting in the film was amateurish, but a good effort was made by the cast whom seemed as if they were all friends of the filmmakers. The directing was alright and the effects were ok, but some stuff looked a little fake. Overall it’s not a great film, but it’s fun and one of those horror films that teenage kids might enjoy. But it’s not a horror masterpiece of any kind.
On another note, the DVD has some good features such as behind the scenes footage and bloopers and deleted scenes.
