I can’t say that I had high expectations while popping this film into my DVD player. Well I’m happy to admit that I actually liked this film to a certain extent. Now before I go any further with this review, I advise that anyone who has not seen the first film to rent that film first before watching this one or you won’t understand the ending at all. Now with that said on with my short review.

“Cube Zero” take you both inside the cube and behind the scenes, which I believe helps the trilogy stay fresh, one of my complaints about Cube 2: Hypercube is that it was much like the first one. Cube: Zero stands alone from the first two. Although it’s style and set is some what the same, we find our self in different places and not just in the cube.

As far as story goes, it’s bearable to watch and will keep you interested. there are times that I did feel as claustrophobic as the actors did in the cube, but other wise there is enough going on to keep your eyes on the screen. The plot is interesting as you get to see the people who are behind the Cube and why they made the cube.

The Acting is so-so, I mean the film had to of had a lower budget than the first two films, and the film is pretty much a bunch of no name actors. So you be the judge.

As far as effects all you gore hounds out there are in for a real treat, just like the first had it’s originall kills, this film does too, a lot more gore and blood though than the other two films.

Overall not a bad film at all I enjoyed it to a certain extent there were times I felt the film was getting slow, but when I saw the ending and how it relate to the other films I was satisfied. So if you haven’t already rent the first two “Cube” films and then rent Cube: Zero.
